Abstract
Color word refers to the word that describes the color of things, which is people's perception of the objective world. People's actual daily life is closely related to color and people live in color. In human language communication, color words are closely related to culture and carrys cultural information beyond the description of color itself.As a part of language, color words are often endowed with rich and profound cultural implication and their lexical and symbolic meanings reflecting different cultures and cultural backgrounds.The language of cultural information transmission of color words is not only the carrier of culture but also the reflection of culture. In Chinese-english translation, color words can effectively convey the thoughts and views of people in different ethnic countries and reflect the social additional meaning of different ethnic countries. It is worth nothing that in today's cultural pluralism, translation, as an significant ways of cross-cultural communication, is a mode of cultural transformation.The translation needs to reproduce the information of the source language from semantic to stylistic with the most appropriate natural and equivalent language.The comparison and translation of Chinese and English color words is a difficult and complicated work. Translation is not only a kind of bilingual communication but also a kind of cross-cultural communication. The purpose of translation is to break down language barriers and promote cultural exchanges among different ethnic groups. The core of translation is cross-cultural information transmission, which will be the ultimate direction of  future comparative and translation studies.With the deepening of international cultural communication, the comparative study of the connotation of color words in different language systems makes the translation of Chinese and English language more appropriate and accurate, which is conducive to the initial purpose of translation and highlights the role of translation.Language is common, and English and Chinese have little difference in the classification of basic color words.However, due to differences in cultural customs, geographical locations, living habits, historical traditions, religious beliefs, national psychology and thinking habits between English and Chinese, various colors have different associative and symbolic meanings in visual and psychological aspects.Therefore, it is of great significance and value to probe into the differences between Chinese and English translation of color words, and to master the methods of translating Chinese and English color words into English to improve the accuracy of translation, increase translation skills and reduce cross-cultural communication friction. Finally, this paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the researchbackground, purpose and significance.Chapter two introduces the concept and classification of color words and the important role of color words in the transmission of cultural connotations first. Then it explains the contrast between Chinese and English translation of color words.Chapter three reinterprets the reasons for the cultural differences in the translation of color words between English and Chinese. Chapter four introduces the translation methods of color words in the cultural communication between Chinese and English on the basis of Chapter three.The last chapter is a summary, which is a brief summary of the above chapters, and at the same time, the auorth puts forward their own views in this part.

颜色词是指描述事物颜色的词语，它是人们对客观世界的一种感知，人们的实际日常生活与颜色息息相关，人们生活在颜色之中。而在人类言语交际里，颜色词与文化有着极为密切的关系，它承载着超越描绘颜色本身的文化信息。颜色词作为语言的一部分，被赋予了丰富的文化内涵，其词汇和象征的意义都反映了不同民族的文化及文化背景。颜色词的文化信息传递的语言既是文化的载体又是文化的写照，在中英翻译中颜色词能够有效地传达不同民族国家人们的思想和对某件事物的看法，体现不同民族国家的社会附加意义。 [来源：http://Doc163.com]
值得注意的是，在文化多元化的今天，翻译是民族之间作为跨文化交流的一种重要手段，是文化在历史中得以转化的一种模式。翻译需要用最恰当、自然和对等的语言从语义到文体再现源语的信息。中英颜色词汇的比较和翻译是一项艰巨而又复杂的劳动, 翻译既是双语交流, 也是一种跨文化交流, 翻译的目的是突破民族交流之间所可能存在的语言障碍, 从而实现并促进文化交流; 翻译的核心是跨文化信息传递。随着国际文化交流的不断深入,对不同语言系统中颜色词的内涵对比研究使得中英语言翻译更为恰当准确，有利于达到翻译的初始目的和凸显翻译的作用。语言是有共性的,英语和汉语对基本颜色词的分类差别不大。但是由于英汉民族国家有着不同的民族文化风俗，地理位置，生活习惯，历史传统，宗教信仰，民族心理，思维习惯等差异,导致各种颜色在视觉和心理上所引发的联想意义和象征意义也不尽相同。因此探析颜色词在中英翻译中存在的差异性，掌握中英颜色词互译的方法对提高翻译的准确性,增加翻译技巧和减少跨文化交流摩擦具有极其重要的意义和价值。
最后本文分为五章，第一章介绍研究背景、目的和意义；第二章先介绍颜色词的概念及分类及其翻译颜色词对传递文化内涵的重要作用，再具体讲解颜色词中英翻译中的对比；第三章再解读颜色词在英汉互译中存在文化差异的原因；第四在第三章的基础之上介绍在中英文化交流中颜色词的翻译方法；章为总结，是对以上章节进行简单概括，同时提出自己的观点。 [资料来源：http://doc163.com]
