摘  要：外交是处理主权国家之间的事务。作为外交工作的裁体，外交语言有着不同于一般语言的特殊之处，其中最大的特点就是准确性与模糊性。外交家们常常运用外交辞令来发表会谈结果、回答敏感性问题以及缓和外交气氛。语言的简明性、灵活性、概括性特别是准确性与模糊性的特点正好符合了外交语言的要求。所以外交语言不同于一般的语言。本文首先论述外交和外交语言以及与其相关的一些理论背景知识，然后对外交语言的准确性与模糊性分别进行详细分析，最后探讨外交语言的准确性与模糊性的语言特征在外交语言中所起到的作用。该研究旨在让人们对外交语言有一个相对全面的认识，提高对外交语言的理解能力。

An Analysis of Accuracy and Vagueness in Diplomatic Language
Abstract: Diplomacy is involved with the negotiation between international affairs. Diplomatic language has its unique characteristics of using accurate and vague language. Diplomats frequently take the advantage of diplomatic parlance to announce the outcome of a talk, to answer sensitive questions and to harmonize the diplomatic atmosphere. Features such as terseness, flexibility, generality, especially accuracy and vagueness successfully meet the demands of diplomacy. So, diplomatic language is different from general language. This paper first introduces diplomacy and diplomatic language, involving some theoretical background knowledge. Then it analyzes accuracy and vagueness in diplomatic language respectively. At last, this paper discusses functions of using accuracy and vagueness in diplomatic language. This study aims to make people have a relatively comprehensive understanding of diplomatic language, and improve their comprehension ability. [资料来源：http://Doc163.com]
