摘 要：称谓语是一种富含文化信息的语言现象，是人们日常生活和文学作品中不可或缺的重要组成部分，了解并掌握英汉称谓语的正确使用非常重要。本文在跨文化交际理论和英汉对比研究的指导下，对英汉称谓语的异同以及造成差异的原因作了一个全面的分析，旨在让人们对英汉称谓语有一个全面的认识。本论文的研究成果在增进不同文化之间的了解、促进跨文化交流方面具有重要的意义。作者希望能为后来研究者的研究工作提供更多的借鉴依据，同时也对跨文化工作者，翻译者，语言老师和称谓语的研究者起到了很大的帮助。

A Comparative Study of English and Chinese Address Terms
Abstract: Address terms, a linguistic phenomenon that is rich in cultural information, are an indispensable part of people’s daily life and literary work, so it is very important to be familiar with the appropriate use of address terms in both English and Chinese. This thesis has investigated the similarities and differences between English and Chinese address system and explored the underlying reasons under the guidance of intercultural communication theory and English-Chinese comparative study. And it aims to help Chinese learners gain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of English and Chinese address terms. This thesis may serve as a helpful guide to enhancing people’s awareness and understanding of other cultures and facilitating communication among peoples of different cultures. The author hopes to provide more references for later researchers, which may be some singnificance to language teachers, translators, cross-cultural communicators and those who are interested in the investigation of address terms.
